Hello. Do you know if alcohol interferes with escitalopram treatment for depression? I know it's not recommended because it will most likely worsen the side-effects and symptoms, but some sources say it'll cut the effect and knock your progress back a few days. I don't think that's exactly possible, but I'd like to ask someone that knows more...

It does, actually. Escitalopram is an anti-depressant, alcohol is a depressant. It pretty much counter acts the entire purpose of taking medicine.
